Halloween “Boo-Berry” Blueberry Pie

Chef Emily Ellyn and her sister Molly Sedensky whipped up a homemade blueberry pie for an upcoming Halloween Party! Full of sweet juicy Wish Farms blueberries, lightly seasoned with Fall spices, and baked in a buttery golden-brown pie crust, this recipe is so delicious that you’ll be dying to share it at your spooky Halloween party!

Ingredients

Blueberry Filling

  • 3 pints fresh Wish Farms blueberries
  • ½ cup white granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground cardamom
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice or substitute orange
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest or substitute orange
  • 1 tablespoon cold unsalted butter, chopped

Pie Crust

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon fine ground salt
  • 1 tablespoon granulated white sugar
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, chilled, and cut into 1 inch pieces
  • ¼ to ½ cup ice water
  • Egg wash: 1 large egg beaten with 1 tablespoon water
  • Coarse sugar for sprinkling, optional
