December 1st was #GivingTuesday for 2020. It is held annually the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. According the website GivingTuesday.org, it “was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give.”
The Wish Farms Family Foundation wanted to do our part and send a $1,000 donation to a heart-warming and extremely worthy cause. We could find no better organization than Wheelchairs4Kids. They are a non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of children with physical disabilities by providing wheelchairs, home and vehicle modifications as well as other assistive equipment at no charge to the families.
The donation was eligible for the matching program with our partners at the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay, so Wheelchairs4kids got an extra $333!
Every day, many of us take for granted our good fortune and good health. Wish Farms thinks it feels good to brighten the lives of those who need help. Let’s spread happiness around! Click here to learn more about how you can help Wheelchairs4Kids.
