Wish Farms owner, Gary Wishnatzki, has been diligently working towards solving labor shortage in the strawberry farming industry. He is doing so with automation. Gary and his business partner, Bob Pitzer, founded Harvest CROO Robotics in 2013 and since, have been making strides towards the commercialization of machine harvesters. The most recent update includes the introduction of “Berry 5”, a 25,000 pound, 30-foot long robot strawberry picker.
