Ingredients
- 2 Cups apples, chopped
- 1/4 Cup brown sugar
- 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 Cup Wish Farms blackberries
- 2 Sheets puff pastry, thawed
- 1 Egg, beaten
- Caramel sauce for drizzling
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
- Add apples and brown sugar to a saucepan, and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes, or until apples soften. Stir apples often to keep sugar from burning.
- Add in blackberries and vanilla extract and simmer for 5 additional minutes
- Remove from heat and let filling cool to room temperature.
- Cut each puff pastry sheet in half, then cut each half into 3 pieces, creating 6 equal slices.
- Add filling to half of the slices.
- Using the other half, cover each filled slice and use a fork to seal edges.
- Brush with beaten egg.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and flaky.
- Remove from oven and let pastries cool slightly.
- Drizzle with caramel and serve warm.
