G & D Farms - Wish Farms

Wish Farms’ G&D Farms is the largest contiguous strawberry production in North America, with 2,100 acres under management, and 800 acres of planted strawberries and pineberries – 150 of which is organic. From the north side of the property to the southern tip, the land stretches four miles. The Duette location is Wish Farms’ flagship growing operation that began in 1987, employing over 1,000 workers. The name “G&D Farms” pays homage to Gary’s grandfather, Gershon “Harris” Wishnatzki and his founding business partner, Daniel Nathel.

Chris Parks, Farm Manager at G&D Farms, is a strawberry and pineberry grower. He’s been with Wish Farms since 2001, but he’s been working in farming full-time since 1993 and grew up around the farm his whole life. As the 3rd generation grower in his family, he has been involved in all aspects of strawberry farming from planting to harvesting. Chris and his team work hard and take a lot of pride in seeing that they supply the best tasting berries to their customers.
