U-Pick

Our Florida strawberry season has come to a close.

We will not be holding another strawberry u-pick until next March 2015.

We have plans for a blueberry u-pick sometime mid to late May.  As soon as the details are confirmed we will be sure to post on this page.

Be sure to follow Wish Farms on Facebook&/or Twitter for farm updates and event.

Wish Farms will be holding our annual charity strawberry u-pick on Saturday, March 29th from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at our farm in Duette, FL.

With the Florida strawberry season winding down, what better time than for you to come out for a day on the farm and pick your very own strawberries!  Our monthly strawberry u-picks this season have been so much fun and we’ve received positive feedback from the families and friends that have stopped by to visit.

Our farm in Duette will be open to the public for an annual charity strawberry U-pick with all proceeds going to Redlands Christian Migrant Association (RCMA).  Pick your own strawberries for only $5 per flat, which includes the donation and crate costs.

In addition, food banks are welcome to attend.  Charities, if you supply your own containers you are allowed to pick for free. (Charitable groups must present documentation of their organization upon arrival.)

This will be our LAST STRAWBERRY U-PICK OF THE SEASON so don’t miss out!  Stock up on berries to enjoy all summer long.  Click here to watch a video on instructions for freezing strawberries.

James, we typically only have a u-pick once a year at the end of our season BUT… with so many requests and the growing interest in Agritourism we have decided this season to hold a once a month u-pick! All the details will be posted to our website the first week of January on a dedicated webpage. The first u-pick will be on Saturday, January 25th. Please reply back with your email address or email info@wishfarms.com and we’ll notify you when all the details are made available. Thanks!

Where can I get a flat of your organic strawberries and how much are they?

    • amber

      January 28, 2014 at 1:48 pm

Hi Jessica, we do not typically sell direct to consumers because it can be a bit of a challenge coordinating. If you are interested in purchasing full flats of organics you will need to call our main office first to set up an order with a member of our sales team. Our number is 813-752-5111. Our organic strawberries are grown at our our farm called G&D Farms in Duette, Florida located in Manatee County (37381 Florida 62, Duette, FL 34219). It is about 30 minutes south of Plant City. Our hours are from 9am-5pm. Organic flats cost approximately $30 that is about 8 pounds of strawberries. Thanks for your interest!

    February 23, 2014 at 6:09 pm

I’m getting married March 29th and wanted to pick fresh strawberries for the wedding cake we will be making. If I show up on the March Saturday to pick the strawberries, will they last until that day without bruising? I need to be able to dip them in chocolate coating and I never know how long strawberries will stay fresh since at the stores you don’t normally know what day the actual berry was picked off of the plant.
