Pull-down range: Ambient temperature to 35 degrees F (depending on product)
Pull-down time: Variable depending on product, entering temperature, final temperature and packaging
Typical pull-down rates with properly vented packaging oriented with the air-flow:
- Strawberries: 45 min – 1 hr
- Bell Peppers: 45 min – 1 hr
- Cantaloupes: 4 – 8 hrs depending on size
- Avocadoes: 2 – 4 hrs depending on size
- Grapes: 2 – 4hrs depending on packaging
