Produce Market Association (PMA)
The Produce Marketing Association is the leading global trade association whose goal is to maximize the produce and floral markets’ visibility worldwide. The PMA lobbies for the industry’s interest in Washington and is also a leader in providing up to date information and reports on changes in the industry.
Furthermore, each year the PMA has an exposition called the Fresh Summit. Buyers and sellers in the produce and floral industry convene to showcase their products and services.
Red Book Credit Services
Red Book Credit Services is a tool that allows its members to see the company profile, credit information, and the latest news as it happens in the produce industry. The website is designed to be a one stop comprehensive site for everything that is the produce industry. If you are a grower, shipper, broker, or packer of fresh produce; being listed on the Red Book Credit Services is a must!
Blue Book Services
Blue Book Services is another tool that validates industry members on their credit rating, financial standing, and other aspects of their business profile. They have specialists that scan the entire industry and look for trends and changes. This is another valuable service that is a must for growers, shippers, brokers, and packers of fresh produce.
Florida Strawberry Growers Association (FSGA)
The Florida Strawberry Growers Association is an organization formed in 1982 whose mission is to have its members “become partners in research, promotion, and member/community service”. With all its participating members the FSGA represents over 8,000 acres of fresh Florida strawberries. The FSGA also is a leader in promoting research into strawberry plant varieties through its sister organization the Florida Strawberry Research and Education Foundation (FSREF).
